Traffic Court Convictions

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The following persons appeared before the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by Her Honor Sherry-Ann Liburd-Charles, on February 13, 2025, and were convicted for various traffic violations and fined as follows:

1. Kiam Farrell of West Farm

• Offence: Driving without due care and attention (Committed on May 17, 2024)

• Penalty: Convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable by February 28, 2025, or 30 days imprisonment

2. Vaughn Huggins of La Guerite

• Offence: Driving without due care and attention (Committed on February 19, 2023)

• Penalty: Convicted and fined $1,500.00, payable in two (2) months or 14 days imprisonment

3. Kuame Mayers of Shadwell

• Offences:

• Driving without a valid and unexpired driver’s license

• Driving without insurance (Committed on February 18, 2022)

• Penalty:

• $1,000.00 fine, payable in one (1) month or 14 days imprisonment (license offence)

• $1,000.00 fine, payable in two (2) months or 14 days imprisonment (insurance offence)

4. Davena Powell of Newtown Ground

• Offence: Driving without due care and attention (Committed on October 26, 2024)

• Penalty: Convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable in two (2) months or 14 days imprisonment

5. Maria Federick of Shaw Avenue

• Offence: Driving without due care and attention (Committed on September 14, 2024)

• Penalty: Convicted and fined $2,000.00, payable in three (3) months or 14 days imprisonment.

Fifteen (15) ticket cases were withdrawn after proof of payment.

Ten (10) ticket cases were adjourned to April 3, 2025.
