Leroy Liburd of Hermitage, and Zadique Butler of King Street, both in Cayon, St. Kitts, have each been charged with Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. Their charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at Mr Liburd’s premises by officers of the Anti-Narcotics and Special Services Units of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF); soldiers from the St. Kitts - Nevis Defence Force; and officers from the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise K-9 Unit on March 3rd, 2025.
The search led to the discovery of a large quantity of vegetable material suspected to be cannabis and later confirmed as such. Mr Liburd and Mr Butler, both present during the search, were arrested and shortly thereafter charged at the Basseterre Police Station.
