The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating a wounding incident that occurred in St. Paul’s, St. Kitts, on September 25th, 2025, between 12 PM and 1 PM.

Officers responded to reports that 18-year-old Tijohn Freeman of St. Paul’s had been wounded with a wooden fishing gun on his left side. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the incident followed an altercation involving three males at Rawlins Ground. Mr. Freeman was reportedly shot with the wooden fishing gun while attempting to enter his home. He was initially transported to Pogson Hospital and subsequently transferred to the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where he received further medical treatment and was later warded overnight in stable condition for observation. The alleged offender presented himself at the Dieppe Bay Police Station the same day and was taken into custody on suspicion of Unlawful Wounding.

The Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. Investigations into the matter are ongoing. The public will be updated as further information becomes available.

Should anyone have any information that can further assist with our investigations into this matter, we strongly encourage you to contact the nearest Police station or report anonymously via the Crime Stoppers’ hotline, 707.
