Cadeem Daniel Fined For Multiple Cannabis-related Charges

Cadeem Daniel of The Valley, Anguilla, was convicted and fined a total of twenty-two thousand dollars (EC $22,000) on several cannabis-related charges on September 30th, 2025, at the Charlestown Magistrate Court.

 

Mr. Daniel was convicted and fined eight thousand dollars (EC $8,000) to be paid forthwith for the Importation of Cannabis under the Customs Act; in default, he will serve twelve (12) months imprisonment. He was also convicted and fined eight thousand dollars (EC $8,000) to be paid forthwith for the Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply; in default, he will serve twelve (12) months' imprisonment.

 

Additionally, Mr. Daniel was convicted and fined three thousand dollars (EC $3,000) to be paid forthwith for the offence of Making a False Statement; in default, he will serve six (6) months imprisonment. He was also convicted and fined three thousand dollars (EC $3,000) to be paid forthwith for Deceiving a Customs Officer; in default, he will serve six (6) months imprisonment. A separate charge of Importation of Cannabis under the Drug Act was withdrawn.
