The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has formally charged a juvenile, age seventeen (17), on Nevis in connection with several traffic-related offences.
The offences include Taking a Vehicle Without the Consent of the Owner, Driving Without Insurance, and Driving Without a Valid Driver’s Licence. The charges were laid on October 14th, 2025, at the New Castle Police Station, in the presence of the juvenile’s parent.
Following the formal charge, the juvenile was released into the custody of the parent on a Release of Child Detention Form, pending an appearance at the Social Services Department on October 15th, 2025. A "Notice to Appear at Initial Inquiry" Form was also issued.
The RSCNPF continues to underscore the importance of responsible vehicle ownership and the legal restrictions governing the operation of motor vehicles, particularly as they relate to minors.
