Kriston Liburd of Stoney Grove, Nevis, has been convicted and fined for drug possession and importation offences.
Having pleaded guilty, Mr Liburd was fined under the Drug Act five thousand dollars ($5,000 XCD), payable in five (5) months or serve six (6) months imprisonment for the offence of Importation. He was convicted and fined two thousand dollars ($2,000 XCD), payable in three (3) months or serve two (2) months imprisonment; and fined an additional three thousand dollars ($3,000 XCD), payable in four (4) months or serve five (5) months imprisonment for the offences of Cannabis Packaged to Deceive under the Customs Act, and Making a False Declaration to a Customs Officer, respectively.
Mr Liburd’s sentence was handed down on November 11th, 2025, at the District “A” Magistrate’s Court presided over by Her Honour Mrs Rhonda Nisbett-Browne.
