On February 25th, 2026, during a search operation at the Vance W. Amory International Airport, Akeem Headley, an American national residing at Happy Hill Alley, Nevis, was found in possession of two air-sealed packages containing vegetable material suspected to be cannabis. The combined weight of the two packages was eighty-three (83) grams. Mr Headley was arrested for Importation of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
Subsequently, during the execution of a search warrant at his residence, officers discovered one block of compressed vegetable material suspected to be cannabis in a kitchen cabinet. The substance was weighed at five hundred and fifty-six (556) grams.
Mr Headley and Randolph Liburd, who also resided at the premises, were arrested and charged.

Charges were laid on February 26th, 2026, at the Cotton Ground and Charlestown Police Stations.
