Jose Castano, who was indicted for Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm, was sentenced after pleading guilty on November 28th, 2025.
On February 20th, 2026, at the High Court, presided over by His Lordship Justice Patrick Thompson Jr., Mr Castano was sentenced with the assistance of a translator to ten (10) years’ imprisonment and ordered to pay fifteen thousand dollars (XCD $15,000) in compensation to the virtual complainant by December 31st, 2026, or in default serve one (1) year imprisonment. Time spent on remand will count toward the sentence.
