The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the Newtown area on St. Kitts in the early morning hours of August 8th, 2026, between 3 AM and 5 AM.
The victim, a male resident in the Newtown area, sustained gunshot wounds during the incident and sought medical attention at the Joseph N. France General Hospital. He is currently reported to be in stable condition.
The Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF processed the scene and recovered some items of evidential value. Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist this investigation is asked to contact the nearest police station or report anonymously via the Crime Stoppers’ hotline, 707.
