Seymour Richards has been convicted and sentenced for the offences of Indecent Language, Armed with an Offensive Weapon to wit a Machete, and Armed with an Offensive Weapon to wit a Knife, all committed on July 11th, 2023.
Having pleaded not guilty, Mr Richards was tried and found guilty of all charges. He was fined three hundred dollars each (XCD $300) for the charges of Indecent Language and Armed with an Offensive Weapon to wit a Machete; and admonished for the remaining offence. His fines are set to be paid by November 16th, 2026, or in default, serve thirty (30) days’ imprisonment. Mr Richards’ sentence was handed down at the District “B” Magistrate’s Court on October 16th, 2026, by Her Honour Mrs Karen Hill-Hector.
