The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is investigating the shooting death of twenty-six (26) year-old Rashaaun Hopkins of Lower Thibou Avenue, McKnight. The crime was committed between 3AM and 4AM on May 27th, 2023.
Police received reports of the shooting incident in the aforementioned area and immediately responded. Preliminary investigations indicate that Mr. Hopkins was attacked by armed assailants and shot several times about the body. He was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by a private vehicle where he succumbed to his injuries a short time thereafter.
The scene of the incident was processed by the Crime Scene Unit and materials of evidential value were recovered. The general public will be kept appropriately informed of the investigation’s developments. The RSCNPF expresses sincere condolences to all who have been negatively impacted by this unfortunate incident.
