The Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and the St. Kitts and Nevis Customs K-9 Unit have recovered an illegal firearm on St. Kitts. During a joint search of an empty lot on August 4th, 2023, in Irish Town, Basseterre, the units recovered (1) one Semi-Automatic Pistol with (9) nine .40 rounds. The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) processed the scene and took the firearm and ammunition into Police custody. No one has been held accountable for the contraband find.
The RSCNPF asks that anyone with information that could assist with the timely resolution of this and other criminal matters, kindly calls the nearest Police station soonest.
