Traffic Court Convictions

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Traffic Department, remains steadfast in enforcing traffic regulations and promoting road safety. 

On March 3rd and 6th, 2025, officers from the Traffic Department, led by Inspector Gordon, attended proceedings at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honor Sherry Ann Liburd Charles, where several traffic-related matters were adjudicated.

The following individuals were convicted and fined:

 1. Travis Clarke of Lower Monkey Hill – Convicted and fined $1,000, payable within one (1) month, or in default, one (1) month imprisonment for driving without due care and attention on May 15, 2024. 

 2. Devalkumar Patel of Bird Rock – Convicted and fined $1,000, payable within one (1) month, or in default, one (1) month imprisonment for driving without due care and attention on January 30, 2024. 

 3. Anthony Evelyn of Bird Rock – Convicted and fined $1,500, payable within one (1) month, or in default, one (1) month imprisonment for driving without due care and attention on July 30, 2024. 

 4. Glenville A. Gumbs of La Guerite Village – Convicted and fined:

 • $1,500, payable within two (2) months, or in default, 14 days imprisonment for driving without due care and attention on April 9, 2024.

 • $750, payable within one (1) month, or in default, 14 days imprisonment for running a red light on April 9, 2024.

 5. Tamaria Henry of Lodge – Convicted and fined $750, payable within two (2) months, or in default, 14 days imprisonment for driving without due care and attention on September 27, 2024.

 6. Tesean Bramble of La Guerite – Convicted and fined:

 • $1,000, payable within one (1) month, or in default, 14 days imprisonment for driving without a valid and unexpired license on October 26, 2024.

 • $1,000, payable within two (2) months, or in default, 14 days imprisonment for driving without insurance on October 26, 2024.

 • $250, payable by Friday, March 14, 2025, or in default, seven (7) days imprisonment for exceeding the speed limit on October 26, 2024.

 • The matter against Rayshawn Allen of St. Johnson Village for driving without due care and attention on June 23, 2021, was dismissed.

Thirty-one (31) traffic tickets cases were withdrawn following proof of payment of the fines. 
Fifty-seven (57) cases were adjourned to various dates.

The court issued bench warrants for:
 • Richard Narine of Bird Rock
 • Kayam John of St. Paul’s

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force urges all motorists to adhere to traffic laws to ensure public safety and avoid penalties. Law enforcement will continue to maintain vigilance in addressing traffic violations and upholding the integrity of the roadways.
