Traffic Court Convictions

During traffic court proceedings adjudicated at the Basseterre Magistrate Court between 26th and 29th May, 2025. The presiding magistrates, Her Honour Yasmine Clarke, Her Honour Rhonda Nisbett-Browne, and Her Honour Sherry-Ann Liburd Charles, convicted and sentenced the following persons for traffic-related offenses: 

Matters Disposed – 26th May, 2025:

Shaquille Adams of Gardens  Housing– pleaded guilty to Driving without Due Care and Attention committed on 6th September, 2024. He was convicted and fined $1,500.00 to be paid within three (3) months or serve one (1) month imprisonment. 

Jenell Chalemon of  St. Martin, but staying at New Road, pleaded guilty to several offences committed on 24th May, 2025:

• Driving without Insurance – Convicted and fined $800.00 to be paid within seven (7) days or one (1) month imprisonment.

• Driving without a Valid and Unexpired License – Convicted and fined $1,000.00 in seven (7) days or fourteen (14) days imprisonment.

• Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle – Convicted and fined $250.00 in seven (7) days or fourteen (14) days imprisonment.

• A charge of Taking a Vehicle Without the Consent of the Owner was withdrawn.

Matters Disposed – 27th May, 2025:

Trevis Osbourne of Upper Cayon – pleaded guilty to Driving without Due Care and Attention committed on 8th September, 2024. He was convicted and fined $800.00 to be paid within three (3) months or serve one (1) month imprisonment. 

Zareke Johnson of Buckleys pleaded guilty to Driving without Due Care and Attention committed on 26th November, 2024. He was convicted and fined $1,000.00 in three (3) months or one (1) month imprisonment. 

Matters Disposed – 29th May, 2025:

Leshona Davis of Parry’s Housing pleaded guilty to Driving without Due Care and Attention committed on 9th August, 2024. She was convicted and fined $750.00 to be paid in three (3) months or serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment. 

Wentford Rogers of Mattingley Heights – pleaded guilty to Driving without Due Care and Attention, also committed on 9th August, 2024. He was convicted and cautioned.
